Marketing Campaigns:
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which publishers are using Marketability for marketing
campaigns?
A: All sorts! Click on client
list to find out more.
Q: If I wanted to ask you about helping us with a project,
what would you need from me?
A: Email us a brief outline of the project and
well contact you to discuss it. Well prepare a costed proposal
so youll be able to see not just how much itll cost, but also
how those charges are worked out, so youre free to choose the services
that help you most.
Q: I need to be sure I still have control! How do you guarantee
that, and how would you keep us up to date on progress?
A: Youll always have control. How it works
is that we do the legwork, researching options, preparing
draft plans and so on, and then present you with a summary of the best
options, so you take the decisions in full possession of the facts. As
for progress reports, thats up to you: some of our clients ultimately
devolve lots of decision-making to us, whilst others like to keep close
to the job at all times through weekly email progress reports.
Q: Who would I actually be dealing with?
A: One of our team of experienced publishing
consultants, each of whom has years of experience of working in publishing
and marketing. Our knowledge of the industry means were up-to-date
with current issues and can set to work effectively and immediately, often
providing extra advice and suggestions beyond the immediate remit.
Consultancy:
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which publishers are using Marketability for consultancy?
A: All sorts! Click on client
list to find out more.
Q: If I wanted to ask you about advising us, what would you need from
me?
A: Email us a brief outline of your needs and well
contact you to discuss them. Well give you an honest assessment
of how we could help and produce a costed proposal with clearly laid out
options.
Q: How much does consultancy cost?
A: To keep it really affordable, we charge a day
rate, and you could buy a single days advice! Well make it
clear what we can do in the time, and how much of that time you choose
to buy is completely up to you. This is because whilst some of our clients
want support for a big change programme, others simply want the reassurance
of an occasional second, independent, opinion on a specific aspect of
their business.

Q: Theres quite a few of us wanting to do the
course. Whats the most cost-effective way?
A: You can save by booking 3 or more places at the
same time, (further discounts available for 6 or more delegates) or ask
us about the Marketability carnet of training days, valid for 12 months.
If there are more than 6 of you, think about a tailor
made workshop.
Q: Weve got very specific needs and none of the workshops covers
them exactly. Can you help?
A: Of course. Try our tailor
made options for size, or phone 0208 977 2741 to discuss your
requirements.
Tailor-made
training: Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who uses Marketability tailor made training?
A: All sorts! Check out our list of training
clients.
Q: What if I want a training topic not covered by your programme?
A: Our experience as publishers and as trainers means
that we can offer training in many other areas too, and considerable flexibility
to meet your precise needs. As publishers this was the training we ideally
wanted to buy: as training providers we always remember that.
Q: How many people do I need to make an in-company
course economical?
A: Although 6 is the minimum wed recommend
for an in-company one day Workshop (cheaper than 6 open course places),
an in-house course can also work very well with smaller groups. For the
record, the optimum number of participants on a day course is 8-12, and
the maximum wed recommend is 16.
Q: I do have very specific needs, which could
probably be covered in half a day. Any ideas?
A: For precisely this reason we also offer a new
style of training - our 1/2 day Skillbuilder Clinics. These are the training
sessions youd run yourself if you could find the time. We bring
in an experienced tutor to run an informal session on your selected topic.
Skillbuilders may be facilitated discussions, brainstorms, or tutored
sessions: they combine great flexibility with a budget price, for as few
as 2-3 people.
